A BUS carrying schoolchildren has ploughed into a lorry leaving 16 injured.
The crash happened at around 9.30am today on the A46 northbound near Syston, Leicestershire.

Leicestershire Police confirmed the collision involved a bus carrying schoolchildren and a HGV.
A force spokesperson said 16 passengers sustained minor injuries and five others were taken to hospital “as a precaution”, reports LeicestershireLive.
An official diversion route is in place but drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
