I-70 reopens near Glenwood Springs after fire closure

Interstate 70 reopened Sunday morning east of Glenwood Springs after a fire temporarily shut down the interstate in both directions, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

I-70 was closed at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday from exit 129 for Bair Ranch to exit 147 for Eagle, near Gypsum, state transportation officials said.

It reopened just after 10 a.m., according to the department.

Additional information about the fire was not immediately available Sunday morning.
