A wealthy influencer died after undergoing penis enlargement surgery in Thailand.
Igho Ubiribo, 43, was injected with 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at an unnamed Thai clinic in March, an inquest heard.
He was on holiday with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, at the time and staying at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok when he decided to have the op.
Penis filler can cost thousands and is becoming increasingly popular, despite warnings from medical professionals and surgeons of potentially devastating complications.
Ubiribo went for a massage after his procedure, and it was then that the British-Nigerian businessman started to complain of chest pain and passed out twice.
Ubiribo was taken to Sukhumvit Hospital by ambulance, where he was ‘able to answer questions normally’ while his wife informed medics of his filler injections.

His primary care doctor in London also confirmed his other medical history, including a past operation on his joints. He was pre-diabetic and had gout but no other health conditions.
He was recommended for a CT scan by Thai doctors, but he lost consciousness before it could be performed.
During an inquest, Inner West London Coroners’ Court heard that doctors determined Ubiribo had suffered a pulmonary embolism (a clot blocking a blood vessel in the lungs) and transferred him to intensive care.
CPR was performed for 100 minutes, but he died shortly after.
A postmortem in the UK later found material consistent with the penis filler in his lungs and concluded that the procedure caused his embolism.
In his report, pathologist John du Parcq said: ‘Cellular material found in Mr Ubiribo’s lungs matched the hyaluronic acid used in his penis filler jab, in keeping with a pulmonary embolism. This matches the Thai autopsy.’
The social media personality’s funeral was held in Kensington, and he was buried in a gold coffin, reportedly costing over $600,000.
Mourners included his childhood friend and Nigerian Afrobeat star Davido, who spoke at the service and said the events ‘don’t feel real’, calling his death ‘heavy’.
‘A man of so much energy, so much presence. The silence is heavy. He is not someone I ever thought I would be speaking about in the past tense.’
Also known by the nicknames ‘Tiny’ and ‘Ego’, Ubiribo was known for showcasing his lavish lifestyle online, and he had 185k Instagram followers.
He spent much of his time at his $1.1million mansion in Los Angeles and had a Shepherd’s Bush apartment worth $600k.
His wife, whom he wed in Zimbabwe in 2022 in an extravagant ceremony, is an Anglo-Zimbabwean socialite and fashion designer.
