Jake Paul’s upcoming match against Gervonta Davis has been canceled

Jake Paul’s upcoming Netflix match against Gervonta “Tank” Davis has been canceled days before the two were set to square off in Miami.

“Our team has worked closely with all parties to navigate this situation responsibly,” Most Valuable Promotions CEO Nakisa Bidarian said in a statement sent to media Monday night.

The highly publicized Nov. 14 exhibition was called off Monday after Davis was sued by an ex-girlfriend for battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to ESPN.

“While we will not be moving forward with this event, our plan still remains for Jake Paul to headline an event on Netflix in 2025,” Bidarian said. “Details regarding a new date, location, Jake’s opponent, and additional bouts will be shared as soon as they are finalized.”

The fight drew attention when it was announced in August — largely because Paul’s boxing resume includes some big names, though Davis, 30, would’ve been the first top-flight boxer in his prime the 28-year-old former influencer has faced.

Paul fought former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on Netflix in November 2024. Tyson, 58, didn’t have the legs to keep pace with his younger opponent.

Paul’s professional record includes 12 wins and a loss to reality TV performer Tommy Fury, whose half-brother is former heavyweight champ Tyson Fury.

Davis is undefeated in 30 fights and has one draw on his record.

Paul called Davis a “walking human piece of garbage” on X Monday night where he confirmed the fight wasn’t happening.
