Knott’s Berry Farm closes 4 attractions during busy summer season

Knott’s Berry Farm will close four attractions for seasonal refurbishments and temporary production work during the busy summer season as the Buena Park theme park prepares for the start of Knott’s Scary Farm 2026.

Sierra Sidewinder, Rapid River Run, Sky Cabin and Montezooma: The Forbidden Fortress will temporarily close in August as part of the standard refurbishment schedule at Knott’s Berry Farm.

The 2007 Sierra Sidewinder spinning roller coaster in Camp Snoopy will be closed for about a week Aug. 10-15.

The 2004 Rapid River Run rockin’ tug flat ride in Camp Snoopy will be closed for less than a week Aug. 24-28.

The 1976 Sky Cabin observation tower in the Boardwalk area of the park will undergo a two-week seasonal refurbishment from Aug. 28 through Sept. 12.

The new Montezooma: The Forbidden Fortress in Fiesta Village that opened on Aug. 6 will be closed for a one-day film shoot on Aug. 14. The multi-launch shuttle coaster will reopen by 3 p.m. on Aug. 14 following the temporary film production work.

Montezooma: The Forbidden Fortress reimagined the 1978 Montezooma’s Revenge with a $20 million makeover that introduced a new coaster train, launch system, track, supports and backstory.

Knott’s Scary Farm will return on select nights on Sept. 17 through Oct. 31.
