A major supermarket has recalled a popular chicken product over a dangerous health risk.

Lidl has taken Tempura 4 Chicken Steaks off its shelves because of undeclared allergens that could be lethal.

A ‘do not eat’ warning has been issued to customers who bought the food.

The meat product contains milk, but that is not emphasised in bold on the ingredients list.

This means the product is a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk.

Customers have been asked to check their freezers and look out for boxes with best before dates of 11/12/2026, 16/12/2026, 22/12/2026, 30/12/2026.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has told anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk ‘do not eat’ the chicken steaks.

Instead, they say the package should be returned to Lidl for a full refund.

This follows the recall of a popular Amazon and eBay supplement, after thousands of tables were found to contain salmonella.

The FSA has updated its warning about 60-capsule packs of Orgenism Eggshell Membrane Capsules.

All batches of the 500mg per serving capsules are affected by the recall.
