Locals in Bangladesh have named a rare albino buffalo after Donald Trump for his uncanny resemblance to the US President.
Donald the buffalo is a major celebrity in Narayanganj and even has identical hair to the real Trump.
Farm owner Ziauddin Mridha bought the buffalo from a cattle market about ten months ago.
He said, ‘My younger brother jokingly named it Donald Trump after seeing the hair on its head. It is very calm in nature.
‘Albino buffaloes are generally peaceful and do not become aggressive unless provoked.’
One local told Prothom Alo newspaper: ‘He looks exactly like Donald Trump. His facial structure and hairstyle match.’
A second buffalo was named after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for a similar ‘resemblance’.
The manager at the farm where Benjamin the buffalo lives said, ‘Netanyahu is very naughty and has a devious intelligence.’
Both buffaloes are being prepared for sacrifice during Eid al-Adha, and are being fed corn, soybeans and bran ahead of the festival.
Regardless of their fate, tourists are standing in large queues for a chance to take a selfie with the animals.
One visitor said his nephew took an hour-long boat journey just to see Donald.
Meanwhile, the relationship between the real Trump and Netanyahu is facing a hurdle, after a ‘tense’ phone call between the leaders last night.
