Londoners are bracing themselves for another 24-hour strike across the London Underground.
From midday, members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) will walk out following a dispute with TfL over working hours.
It’s the third day of action this week after lines were shut down at midday for 24 hours on Tuesday.
Today, Piccadilly and Circle lines will be closed while the Metropolitan line is shunt between Baker Street and Aldgate.
The Central line will not be running between White City and Liverpool Street.
Other lines will have a reduced service.
This week, we’ve seen the return of the Strikelist – those who turn to hire bikes to commute across the city when there’s industrial action on the Tube.
Businesses say they’ve been hit hard, with one food outlet owner telling Metro they saw a huge drop in footfall.
But RMT official Jared Wood says members felt strongly about the issues at the heart of the dispute, adding there was ‘absolute unanimity’ to fight TfL’s proposals.
People who are travelling around London today are advised to check tfl.gov.uk/strikes before venturing out.
