Los Angeles County placed under a heat advisory until Thursday evening

Los Angeles County is the focus of an updated heat advisory released at 11:09 a.m. on Wednesday by the National Weather Service. The advisory is in effect until Thursday July 16, at 8 p.m.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA informs, “Temperatures up to 104 degrees.”

“There is a high risk for heat illness for sensitive populations including the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors,” the NWS said.
