Police are looking for a vehicle involved in a Wednesday morning shooting that left a 26-year-old man critically wounded.
About 10:15 a.m., a 26-year-old man was standing in the 3600 block of West Fifth Avenue when an assailant jumped from a vehicle and opened fire, police said.
He was hit in the head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
The assailant, who fled in an unknown direction in the vehicle, was not arrested.
Area 4 detectives are investigating.
