A 42-year-old man wrestled with a gunman who confronted him near Union Station Thursday morning and shot him in the leg, police said.
The 42-year-old man was in the 300 block of South Canal Street when the attacker confronted him and they began arguing, police said. Union Station is located at 225 S. Canal St.
The argument turned violent and the attacker pulled a gun and opened fire, hitting the 42-year-old in the left leg, police said. .
The man was taken in good condition to Stroger Hospital and the shooter fled in a black car.
Area 3 detectives are investigating.
