A man was shot to death in Auburn Gresham early Friday on the South Side.
The 61-year-old man was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his chest around 1:25 a.m. in a gangway in the 7600 block of South Sangamon Street, Chicago police said.
The unidentified man was dead at the scene, police said.
No one was in custody.
Area 2 detectives are investigating.
