Man arrested after fatal road-rage motorcycle crash in south Denver

A 45-year-old man was arrested in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash in which Denver police say he intentionally rammed the motorcycle.

The crash happened amid a dispute Sunday night between Diego Ortega-Camero and two men who were on the motorcycle, according to a Denver Police Department news release. The argument escalated when someone on the motorcycle fired a shot at Ortega-Camero, and then he collided with the motorcycle, pushing it into the path of another vehicle near the intersection of East Hamden Avenue and South Yosemite Street.

One person was dead at the scene and the other person on the motorcycle was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, the news release said. The victims have not been identified.

Ortega-Camero ran away from the scene but was apprehended. He is being held for investigation of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault, the news release stated.
