A man was left in critical condition after being attacked with a “blunt object” Thursday night in the Edgewater neighborhood on the North Side.
Officers responding to a call of a person shot around 10:10 p.m. found the man on the ground in the 5800 block of North Kenmore Avenue, where he was already being treated by Chicago Fire Department officials. The man had been struck in the head with “a blunt object,” police said, and he wasn’t shot.
He was taken in critical condition to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.
No one was in custody.
