A 43-year-old man was pronounced dead after he was found outside with a gunshot wound to the chest early Wednesday in West Pullman, police said.
The incident occurred about 12:15 a.m. in the 11600 block of South Halsted Street, Chicago police said in a statement.
He was taken in critical condition to Christ Hospital, where he was later pronounced. Police reported no arrests.
