A man was shot and killed during a fight inside a South Lawndale business Monday, according to Chicago police.
Joshua Ashford, 38, was shot after a fight broke out inside a Cervantes Mufflers and Brakes, 2102 S. Washtenaw Ave. around noon, police said in a statement.
Ashford, of the 7600 block of South Eggleston Avenue, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with gunshot wounds to the chest and pronounced dead at 12:46 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office and police.
Another man, 49, was taken to Saint Anthony Hospital with injuries to his face, police said. His condition was not released.
Police said no one was in custody.
