A Monday autopsy determined the death of a man who stumbled into a liquor store suffering from four puncture wounds Saturday night in Belmont Cragin was a homicide, officials said.
Yahir Viveros-Alarcon, 27, died of multiple stab wounds, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Chicago police said Viveros-Alarcon walked into a RJ Food & Liquor, 5640 W. Fullerton Ave., about 8:45 p.m. Sunday and a witness discovered that he was injured.
Viveros-Alarcon was treated and transported by the fire department to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 1:25 a.m. Sunday, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Neither Viveros-Alarcon nor the witnesses were able to provide details of the incident. There is no one in custody, and
Area 5 detectives are investigating.
