A man was pronounced dead after he was found with a head injury Saturday night in New City.
Officers found the man about 10:20 p.m. on the ground in the 2200 block of West 47th Street with a cut to the head, Chicago police said.
The man, whose age was unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The circumstances of the incident have not been released.
Area One detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
