Man killed, woman injured when two motorcycles collide with a car

KAYSVILLE — A motorcyclist was killed and another injured when they both collided with a car on Highway 89 Wednesday night.

About 8 p.m., a man and a woman were southbound on state Route 89 near Crestwood Road in Kaysville on separate motorcycles, according to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Nick Street.

A car was traveling north on the same road when the driver made a left turn from a left turn lane, “directly in front of the motorcycles,” Street said. “Both riders struck the passenger car.”

The female rider was taken to an ambulance, while the male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was uninjured. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
