A man was fatally shot in the street in Van Nuys just after 2 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, Los Angeles police said.
Officers found a man in his 30s in the street near Murrietta Avenue and Hazeltine Avenue with a gunshot wound, Officer Jeff Lee said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said that a man approached the victim on foot, shot him and fled, according to Lee. Police did not know if the shooting was gang-related.
