OAKLAND — A 42-year-old Hayward man was wounded multiple times early Monday in a drive-by shooting in East Oakland, authorities said.
The man was in stable condition at a hospital.

The shooting happened about 12:17 a.m. Monday in the 2800 block of 67th Avenue.
Police said the man was standing outside when a vehicle drove by and an occupant began shooting at him before driving away, authorities said. The man was wounded at least three times.
He was taken by another person to a hospital.
Police have not yet said why the man was in Oakland or provided a motive for the shooting. No detailed information has been released yet about the shooter or the vehicle they were in.
