Three large fires were raging around Southern California Wednesday, forcing evacuations and threatening homes in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
In Orange and Riverside counties, the Airport fire has burned more than 20,000 acres, destroyed homes in the Holy Jim area, and forced additional evacuations near Lake Elsinore.
In San Bernardino County, the Line fire continues to threaten the mountain communities of Running Springs and Big Bear.
In Los Angeles County, the Bridge fire has roared to more than 40,000 acres and destroyed buildings in the Wrightwood area of San Bernardino County.
As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, the three fires had burned more than 100,000 acres.
