It appears that McDonald’s 2022 “farewell tour” for its McRib was, like so many rock stars’ farewells, a little premature.
The fast food giant will bring back the sandwich for a limited time during the holiday season. The launch is Dec. 3, according to a news release that didn’t include a price.
McRib made its debut in 1981 and has been on and off McDonald’s menu ever since. It’s made with a boneless pork patty slathered in barbecue sauce and topped with slivered onions and pickles on a toasted bun.
