This was supposed to be a season of massive turnover in the Super 25, with new teams constantly arriving and changes up and down the rankings every week.
That hasn’t happened at all. Only a handful of teams have joined since the preseason and things have stayed remarkably stable overall. Nineteen teams in the rankings have just one loss or fewer.
Leo (8-1), Cary-Grove (8-1), Sycamore (8-1), Woodstock (8-1), Stevenson (7-2), Lincoln Park (9-1), Clark (9-1), Oak Forest (8-1), Stagg (9-1), York (8-1) and Glenbard East (9-1) are all hanging around outside the Super 25 with stellar records.
It’s rare to have so many teams with one loss or fewer heading into the holiday tournaments.
