A thick cloud of black smoke was seen above the house as glaring orange flames ripped through the stunning mansion.

Firefighters rushed to the scene after the fire was reported on the holiday afternoon – but struggled to put off the raging fire.

The aggressive blaze quickly spread throughout the home, damaging its core structure that could have collapsed any minute – creating dangerous conditions for responding firefighters.

The Weston Volunteer Fire Department said in a statement: “Firefighters attempted an aggressive fire attack, however, their efforts were thwarted by dangerous fire conditions and structural collapse.”

Another major setback hit them when a vehicle ran over the hose that was being used by the firefighters which stopped the flow of water for several minutes.

Authorities said the residents of the manor were trying to fry a turkey for the big meal Thursday afternoon inside their garage.

The room soon went up in flames and the fire began “rapidly extending into the residence”.

Pictures of the aftermath of the huge fire revealed the charred remains of the mansion that has now been deemed “inhabitable”.

None of the residents or neighbours were injured in the dramatic fire, it is understood.

Six other fire departments had to assist the volunteer crew to battle out the fire, DailyMail reports.

The official cause of the conflagration is still under investigation, but a preliminary investigation suggests it’s the result of trying a turkey

It comes just days after Reclusive millionaire Will Rothschild from the famous Rothschild family was reportedly killed after his $1million Los Angeles home caught fire.

Around 45 firefighters took 33 minutes to extinguish the fire but said they found a body inside the 825-square-foot home.

Neighbors told KABC he was Will Rothschild, a member of the billionaire British German banking family

They are said to have found unopened mail and magazines outside the burnt-out home addressed to a “WM DE ROTHSCHILD”.

Pictures show dozens of firefighters standing around the home moments after containing the fire.

Thick clouds of smoke from the property could be also seen billowing into the Los Angeles night.

One resident told local media that she called 911 after smelling burning and hearing “glass shattering” from across the road.

Huge flames had started to take over the home within minutes, they added.

Meanwhile, at least 10 people were tragically killed after a fire ripped through a Spanish care home as residents slept.
