An April snowstorm in Denver and across the state Friday has so far delayed or canceled more than 550 flights at Denver International Airport.
Southwest Airlines flights made up the majority of those impacted as of 8:45 a.m., including 368 delays and all nine cancellations, according to flight-tracking service FlightAware.
Also delayed were 83 United flights, 60 SkyWest flights, 21 Delta flights and smaller numbers of flights on Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Frontier, Key Lime Air and Sun Country Airlines.
The numbers reflect about one-third of all flights into the airport and one-fifth of flights scheduled to leave Friday.
The ongoing snowstorm is expected to drop up to 5 inches of snow in Denver through Saturday morning and as much of a foot of snow at higher elevations, causing highway closures.
This is a developing story and may be updated.
