A collision involving a motorcycle and a big rig on the 5 Freeway in Boyle Heights Tuesday morning closed all lanes for a time and sent the rider to a hospital.
The crash was reported about 5:45 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway north of Fourth Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The bike and rider became wedged under the semi, according to KNX, which reported the motorcyclist was rushed to a hospital.
Three lanes were reopened about an hour after the crash was reported.
