Motorcyclist who died in East Bay collision with pickup truck is identified

Authorities have identified a motorcyclist who died last week in a collision with a pickup truck that pulled out in front of him.

Damion Hunter, 48, of Richmond, was riding his Suzuki motorcycle east on San Pablo Dam Road in El Sobrante when he hit the side of a Ford F-150 pickup truck that pulled out from Terri Ann Court, the California Highway Patrol said.

The collision threw Hunter from the motorcycle.

San Pablo Dam Road is a rural bypass that connects western and central Contra Costa County. The crash happened near the downtown area.

The truck driver had injuries that the CHP termed minor and went to a hospital to be treated.

The CHP did not make an arrest.
