A woman was killed and a man seriously injured in a car crash after they were shot at by people in another car Saturday morning in Roseland.
The 22-year-old woman was driving west about 8:20 a.m. in the 200 block of East 103rd Street when someone in another car began shooting at her car, Chicago police said.
She crashed her SUV into a tree while trying to evade the gunshots, police said.
The woman was taken to Trinity Hospital, where she died. A 28-year-old male passenger in her car suffered several injuries and was taken in serious condition to University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
The driver of the other car fled the scene, police said. No arrests were reported.
