Mountain View art studio owner arrested on suspicion of molesting teen girl

MOUNTAIN VIEW – A 55-year-old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of molesting a teenage girl enrolled in a class at his Mountain View art studio, police said.

The girl called police Wednesday to report she had been inappropriately touched on at least one occasion by Oleg Tumasov, the owner of Tumasov Fine Art & Gallery in the 800 block of West El Camino Real, the Mountain View Police Department said in a statement.

Police said the girl attended art classes at the studio. Officers also learned Tumasov teaches private tennis lessons in the area.

“Based on our ongoing investigation, we are concerned there may be additional victims,” police said.

Officers arrested Tumasov just after 12 p.m. on Thursday. He was booked into Santa Clara County jail on charges of lewd acts with a minor, sexual battery and annoying or molesting a child.
