Murder arrest after teen, 19, stabbed to death in Kent

Police have launched a murder investigation after a 19-year-old man was fatally stabbed in a Chatham home. Early Morning Attack in Thorold Road Kent Police were called at 3.11am on Tuesday 2 November 2025 following reports of an assault at a private property on Thorold Road, Chatham. Officers found the victim inside with stab wounds. Paramedics tried to save him but he was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed. Suspect in Custody as Police Seal Off Area A man in his 30s from Chatham was arrested and remains in custody. Police have cordoned off Thorold Road and a nearby alley while investigations continue. Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward Anyone who saw the incident or has CCTV/dashcam footage is urged to contact police. Call 01622 652006, quoting reference 02-0092. The investigation is ongoing, and police are desperate for any leads to bring justice for the young victim.

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a teenager in Kent.

A 19-year-old man was found with injuries consistent with stab wounds inside a terraced home in Thorold Road, Chatham.

Kent Police was called at 3.11am on Tuesday, following reports of an assault on the residential street.

Emergency services attended and paramedics treated the victim, but he was confirmed dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

A man in his 30s from Chatham was arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custodies.

The area between Whitehorse Hill and Chatham Hill is closed to traffic.

Initially, residents in the area were unable to return home if they left the cordon.

One father who lives in the street said the cordon was set up when he tookhis children to school this morning.

He told Kent Online that when he tried to return home, he was told he could not go into the cordon to his house.

Officers were seen taping off and searching an alleyway connecting to Luton Road.

Police with dogs were also seen searching in nearby Henry street in the early hours of this morning and have since been carrying out door-to-door enquiries.

Any witnesses or anyone with information are urged to contact the police immediately to support their ongoing enquiries.

Another stabbing happened in Chatham on Saturday November 1, which caused the death of 43-year-old Charles Belsham.

Two men were charged with his murder.
