A Lotto jackpot prize of more than £2.6 million has been claimed nearly two weeks after the winning numbers were announced.
It was previously announced two ticket holders had won the jackpot of £5,275,282 from a draw on November 6.
But only one of the prizes was claimed in the aftermath, prompting lottery operator Allwyn to urge players to check their tickets.
The claim must still be validated, although claims which have been announced in this way rarely fail.
Allwyn’s Andy Carter said: ‘We’re delighted that this second life-changing Lotto jackpot prize has now been claimed.
‘It’s absolutely incredible, especially with Christmas fast approaching, and means this lucky ticket-holder can soon start to turn a lot of their dreams into reality – what a festive season they could have!
‘Our focus is now on supporting the ticket-holder through the process so they can start enjoying their win as soon as possible.’
Once a winner has their claim validated and paid out, they can decide whether or not to remain private or go public with the news.
The first of the two November 6 winners is thought to have kept their identity a secret so far.
No information about their ticket – such as where it was bought and whether it was part of a syndicate – will be released if they stay private.
