NBA reschedules Warriors’ postponed games following Dejan Milojevic’s death

The NBA announced how they will rescheduled the two Warriors games postponed in the wake of Dejan Milojevic’s death last Wednesday in Salt Lake City.

The Warriors postponed their Jan. 17 game against the Utah Jazz and Jan. 19 game against the Dallas Mavericks. The Jazz game will be played on Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. PT the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, cutting one day off of both teams’ week-long All-Star break.

The Warriors’ home game against Dallas will be played on April 2 at 7 p.m. PT at Chase Center, a day that originally was scheduled to have the Warriors play at Dallas.

That April 2 away game will be rescheduled for April 5, giving the Warriors a back-to-back road trip versus the Houston Rockets on April 4 and the Mavericks the next day at 5:30 p.m. PT. The rescheduled home game cuts into a seven-game road trip.

Milojevic died last Wednesday, Jan. 17 during a team dinner in Salt Lake City. The team took a week off, including those two games, to mourn his death. Steph Curry later said it would have been too difficult for the team to play those two games. Golden State returned to practice on Monday and returned to play on Wednesday, paying tribute to Milojevic in a pre-game ceremony and with a win against the Atlanta Hawks.
