NFL moves start time of Bears-Packers game at Lambeau Field

The Bears’ Week 14 game in Green Bay will get the late-afternoon treatment.

The NFL announced Thursday that the Dec. 7 game at Lambeau Field was moved from noon to 3:25 p.m. and will be broadcast on Fox. The Bengals-Bills game was moved to noon.

The NFL permits games to be flexed at any time between Weeks 11-17, provided it happens with at least 12 days’ notice.

The Bears are in first place in the NFC North and the rival Packers are in second place. The Bears are 7-3 and the Packers 6-3-1.

The Bears beat the Packers on a last-second field goal Cairo Santos field goal in Week 18 last year, the last time they played at Lambeau Field. They are scheduled to play the rival Packers twice in December; the Bears host Dec. 20 at a time that’s yet to be announced.

Notes

• Vikings special teams coordinator Matt Daniels on Tuesday hesitated to give kick returner Devin Duvernay credit for his 56-yard return that set up the game-winning field goal.

“It could have been anybody — if you’ve got a son or anybody,” he said. “Like, all he did was just catch it and run back to the field and everybody just kind of got washed inside.”

Bears special teams coordinator Richard Hightower said his players saw the comment on social media, which forced him to address it. He said he was more focused on the Steelers.

• The Steelers got good injury news Thursday when edge rusher Alex Highsmith (pec) and running back Jaylen Warren (ankle) returned to practice, albeit on a limited basis. Highsmith has 5 ½ sacks and Warren leads the team with 536 rushing yards.
