There was no evidence of a shooting at a high school football game at Los Angeles Southwest College that was evacuated, authorities said today.
Investigators found no evidence of any shots fired after a false report of a shooting around 8:52 p.m. Friday stopped a football game between King/Drew Magnet High School of Medicine and Science and San Pedro High School, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Gabriela Robles.
At least one person sustained a minor injury while people were dispersing from the area, the sheriff’s department said. A woman was put into an ambulance, according to a report from the scene.
Personnel from the Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and cleared the scene before midnight, according to the sheriff’s department.
San Pedro led 21-6 when the game was halted during the third quarter.
