No one was injured after a child fired a gun left aboard a school bus in Bridgeport Monday afternoon, according to Chicago police.
Police said a man left a bag with a loaded gun unattended on the bus in the 3500 block of South Wallace Street — the same block as Minnie Miñoso Academy. A 12-year-old boy found the gun, and fired once. The bullet hit a window of the bus; no injuries were reported.
The man then took the gun and bag and fled the scene, police said. The incident is under investigation.
