A section of the A11 road in Norfolk has been shut in both directions following a crash between six cars and a lorry.
The major road is expected to be closed to traffic for the rest of the day between the town of Wymondham and Spooner Row west of Norwich.
It was first closed at around 3.30am after the crash caused ‘significant central reservation barrier damage’, according to National Highways.
No information has been released about the conditions of the drivers involved.
Anyone thinking of travelling on the stretch of road today has been told to reroute or consider delaying the trip as work will continue for some time.
