“Going for Home,” a documentary film that chronicled the Central Altadena Little League in the aftermath of the Eaton fire was screened Saturday, May 16, after Little League closing ceremonies at Loma Alta Park.
The film, written and directed by Academy Award winner Eric Simonson, has been screening at film festivals ahead of Saturday’s free community screening.
Simonson and his wife Sue Cremin, who produced the documentary, filmed for six months following the January 2025 Eaton fire when the Central Altadena Little League season went forward despite 90% of families losing their homes or being displaced.
Attendees set up blankets and chairs on the Dodgers Dreamfield grass to watch the documentary on a large projector screen.
