Power Morphicon, the official, fan-run, biennial convention dedicated to the Power Rangers franchise and broader Tokusatsu media, drew crowds to the Pasadena Convention Center over the weekend.

Mostly centered on Power Rangers, the event also included guests and panels from other Japanese tokusatsu franchises such as Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, and Metal Hero.

There were actor and crew panels, autograph signings, cosplay gatherings, vendor floors with rare merchandise, and fan-run community events.

Scott Zillner, promoter of the event, said the event is the largest Power Rangers convention in the world, which he added draws people from all over the globe.

Everybody here is so happy. Because they are at the show. They are meeting their heroes. They are meeting their friends. … That means so much to them and they have a great time,” he said.
