RAMS (9-2) at CAROLINA PANTHERS (6-6)
When: 10 a.m. PT Sunday
Where: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, N.C.
TV/Radio: FOX (Ch. 11)/710 AM; 93.1 FM; 1330 AM (Spanish); Sirius 228, 382
Line: Rams by 10.5
Notable injury designations
Rams: QUESTIONABLE: S Kamren Kinchens (shoulder), DT Poona Ford (calf), RT David Quessenberry (groin).
Panthers: OUT: CB Jaycee Horn (concussion), LB Christian Rozeboom (hip/hamstring), LB Claudin Cherelus (concussion), G Chandler Zavala (calf), C Cade Mays (ankle).
What’s at stake? The Rams can push their lead over the Chicago Bears for the NFC’s top seed to one game with a win, as well as maintaining their one-game lead over the Seattle Seahawks for the NFC West. The Panthers can keep alive their hopes of winning the NFC South with a win.
Who’s better? The Rams are clicking on all cylinders to the point that they are the betting favorite to win the Super Bowl. The Panthers are a surprise this season, competing for a playoff spot, but an upstart nonetheless.
Matchup to watch: Rams RB Kyren Williams vs. Panthers LBs. Carolina is 21st in the NFL in estimated points added per play against the run (-0.044). But Carolina will be without former Ram Christian Rozeboom at the center of their run defense, which could allow Williams to control the game on the ground and keep the Rams moving on schedule or in chunks.
Rams win if: They rush for more than 150 yards. … They sack QB Bryce Young at least three times and limit him to 250 yards passing. … They don’t turn the ball over.
Fantasy sleeper: WR Tutu Atwell. Back from a stint on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, the speedy receiver is always a threat for a game-breaking play that can put up quick points.
Prediction: Rams 38, Panthers 14. Beat reporter’s record: 10-1 overall; 7-4 against the spread.
