Ready for some good news, Colorado? Say hello to Bluebird Day.

There’s one question we get pretty often here at The Denver Post: “Where’s all the good news?”

While we cover happy, heartwarming and pleasantly interesting Colorado news all the time, those stories don’t always stand out amid more urgent coverage such as weather-related disasters and government shutdowns.

So we created Bluebird Day, a newsletter highlighting Colorado news that’s positive, joyful and fun to read. Launched under the creative direction of Tynin Fries, The Denver Post’s deputy director of audience, this occasional Saturday newsletter is guaranteed to lift your spirits. Sign up to receive the newsletter here:

In our first edition, we highlighted a Longmont native’s “corny” journey to Broadway, an app by a Mines grad that helps people access some of Colorado’s 704,000 acres of inaccessible public lands, a Valor Christian alum who became the second American woman to win a heptathlon world title and even a Taco Bell ultramarathon.

Each time we send the Bluebird Day newsletter, we’d love to spotlight a moment from our readers that made you smile, laugh or just be glad to be alive. What good thing happened to you recently? Tell us all about it.

Join us for a little bit of joy. And consider signing up for some of our other newsletters while you’re at it.
