Rep. Luz Rivas. D-Arleta, helped launch the new school year by touring the newly renovated West Campus at St. Genevieve Parish Schools in Panorama City on Monday.
The $29 million master-plan expansion and renovation project includes:
–A new 300-seat Performing Arts Center that includes a full fly-tower, orchestra pit, scene shop and green room as well as dedicated choral, dance and music rooms;
–A 200-seat parish hall with a complete catering kitchen, meeting rooms, parish offices and an Adoration Chapel; and
–New kindergarten and 1st-grade classroom spaces with updated flooring, ceilings and air conditioning.
The Panorama City campus, founded in 1950 and overseen by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, includes pre-school, elementary, middle and high schools.
