This is the moment rescuers uncover a missing ten-year-old boy after they heard his cries buried beneath rubble.

The child, Syrian national Amir Alcedduh was abducted, beaten and buried alive under heavy rocks.

He had been reported missing for two days before he was discovered near a dam in Reyhanli, in the Turkish province of Hatay on December 7.

On December 5, Amir had disappeared after leaving his primary school and his family filed a missing person report when they could not find him.

A large-scale search was launched by police in Reyhanli, where security camera footage from around the district was trawled through to try and trace his movements.

Officers reportedly examined recordings from more than 200 cameras before Amir was identified in a car heading towards the Reyhanli Dam.

Police and rescuers continued to search around the dam and its surroundings, which is when a volunteer searcher, Ramazan Albayrak, said he heard a strange sound.

While sweeping in a rubbish-strewn patch of ground near the water’s edge, Ramazan heard the noise and, at first, thought it was a crow.

He then realised it was a child’s voice coming from under a heap of stones.

Ramazan said he then saw what looked like a small body under the rocks, which prompted him to frantically pull away the stones.

The video footage from the discovery shows the rescuers shouting for someone to call an ambulance as young Amir lies under the rocks.

After he was freed from the rubble, he was taken to hospital with what emergency services described as a head wound.

Medics said he had undergone surgery and that he is in good condition, with no immediate risk to his life.

Amir’s father, Muhammed El Cedduh, told local media: ‘My son suffered under those stones for days.

‘I want the cruel person who did this to my son to receive the harshest punishment possible. May God protect us all.’

A man has been reportedly arrested in connection with what happened to Amir, but he denied any involvement and rejects the accusations made against him.
