Revealed: Nicole Kidman’s fortune, Keith Urban’s love song to Maggie?

Given a report Tuesday that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban probably had a prenuptial agreement, it’s not likely that the in-demand Hollywood star will have to give up much of her vast fortune, which was revealed in divorce documents to be as much as $250 million.

That should be some consolation to the 58-year-old Oscar winner as she reels from the reportedly unexpected collapse of her 19-year marriage to the 57-year-old country singer — and as fans have lots to say about his evident regard for the 25-year-old guitarist who played with his band this summer, following reports that he was already “involved with another woman” before their divorce was announced.

As recently as two days before news broke Monday that the celebrity power couple were separated, the singer and guitarist, Maggie Baugh, posted a clip on Instagram of them performing the love song, “The Fighter,” the Daily Mail reported. Urban, who was performing as part of his High and Alive World Tour, once said he wrote the song “very quickly” after thinking of his wife and the beginning of their love affair, Page Six reported.

Baugh herself highlighted the way that Urban changed a key lyric of the song to her first name “Maggie.” The clip shows Urban singing: “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player.”

The original lyric goes: “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter.”

The song is supposed to be about a couple navigating the early days of a relationship, with a man singing about how he wants to help his new love learn to trust again after her previous partner “hurt” her and may have “scared” her out of love.

“And it’s gonna take just a little time,” the song goes. “But you’re gonna see that I was born to love you.”

On her post, Baugh appeared to be both taken aback or amused by her name slipping into the song while they were performing. She wrote: “Did Keith Urban just say that.”

Baugh also has kept the post up but has appeared to block comments, after some people expressed anger about the changed lyric and what it suggests. These fans said Kidman “deserves better,” Page Six reported. Some also questioned Baugh’s decision to post “in the first place,” while others said, “OK, dumping Nicole is looking more suspect,” and “Wow, that song was made for Nicole. For him to do that that tells us what he’s really all about,” the Daily Mail also reported.

Reps for Urban and Baugh did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment, including to clarify whether she could be the reported other woman in the Kidman-Urban divorce saga.

The changed lyric seemed to bolster reports from multiple outlets Tuesday that Kidman had been determined to fight to save the marriage but gave up after learning that Urban “is already involved with another woman.” Sources connected to Kidman told TMZ that “all the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman,” while a music industry source in Nashville, where Kidman and Urban are based, told the Daily Mail: “The rumor is that he’s with a younger woman in the business.”

Another source told the Daily Mail that Urban had become increasingly unhappy with the lack of intimacy in the marriage. “The intimacy isn’t there, they are just going through the motions (of being married),” the source said. “Keith had to call her out that he isn’t happy,” the source said.

News broke Monday that the couple, who seemed to enjoy one of Hollywood’s strongest, most enduring and most PDA-filled marriages, had been living separately since the start of the summer. The Australian actor was living in the family home in Nashville with their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, while Urban had acquired his own residence in the city.

On Tuesday, Kidman filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.” TMZ reported. A clause in the filing stated Kidman and Urban will each retain their own assets, which suggests there is a prenuptial agreement, TMZ added.

The Daily Mail reported Wednesday that Kidman’s estimated net worth is $250 million, while his is $75 million. Court documents showed that each brings in a monthly income of about $100,000 each. According to an agreement already worked out, Kidman will remain the “primary residential parent of the minor children,” while both waived any spousal and child support, TMZ reported. Urban also has prepaid “child support obligations.”

The Daily Mail furthermore said that the estranged couple had worked out a parenting plan, in which Kidman will get their daughters for 306 days a year, while Urban will only have them for 59. She also will have them on Mother’s Day and Easter, while Urban will get them on Father’s Day and Thanksgiving.
