Ronnie allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Jen Harley, and chased after with their daughter and a knife in his hands.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro from Jersey Shore, and his girlfriend, Jen Harley have a publicly rocky relationship. Though the pair share an 18-month-old daughter, Ariana, the couple has consistently been in an off-and-on relationship because of mutual domestic violence and abuse charges. Earlier this morning, the couple got into a heated argument culminating in a physical altercation that quickly became violent and resulted in Ronnie’s arrest.
According to a , Ronnie and Jen began fighting at around 2:30 a.m. at their rental Airbnb in Los Angeles. The argument escalated: Ronnie allegedly put his hands on Jen, punching and slapping her. Jen reportedly ran out of the house and was then chased by Ronnie, who had a knife-and their young daughter-in his hands. Unable to convince Jen to come back inside the house, Ronnie allegedly locked himself and his daughter in the house.
Authorities received multiple 911 calls from people living close to the residence and shortly showed up on the scene following Ronnie and Jen’s altercation. TMZ’s sources said that authorities were reportedly advised to break down the door because Ariana’s safety was in jeopardy. After a refusal to cooperate with authorities, the police tased Ronnie to subdue him.
Fox 11 LA released footage of Ronnie being wheeled away from the scene in a gurney and handcuffs after being tased. After the hospital determined that Ronnie was in good health, he was booked for kidnapping. Paramedics on the scene determined that baby Ariana was thankfully in perfect health, but Jen did have visible marks on her face. Jen also reportedly told the police that things escalated so quickly because Ronnie had done a considerable amount of coke shortly before things turned violent.
The reports of Ronnie’s arrest came just 12 hours before Ronnie and Jen went public with their rekindled relationship and confirmed to TMZ that they officially got back together. They were advised to stay apart by friends and family because of their toxic relationship-Jen was just cleared of domestic battery in July after throwing an ashtray at Ronnie’s head during a separate altercation that took place in January.
