SAN JOSE — Police have released the image of a vehicle they say is linked to a fatal gang-motivated shooting near the Seven Trees Community Center in March, and are seeking public tips to help investigators find a suspect.

The shooting was reported the night of March 9 on Cas Drive at Solari Park, near the community center and neighboring public library. Police said responding officers arrived to find signs that a shooting occurred, but no one still at the scene.
Soon after, police were alerted by Regional Medical Center in San Jose that a man suffering from gunshot wounds had arrived at the hospital and died from his injuries. He was later identified as Tumarion Burch, a 20-year-old Stockton resident.
Tuesday, San Jose police homicide investigators revealed their finding that the shooting was gang-motivated and that the park near where the shooting occurred was the site of “increased activity” by a local street gang.
In that same announcement, police released as surveillance image of a “vehicle of interest” whose occupants had contact with the victim prior to the shooting. The vehicle is described as a newer-model Honda Accord Sport with tinted windows.
