SAN MATEO — A weeks-long investigation into possible prostitution at a massage parlor in San Mateo ended in two arrests Wednesday, police said.

The probe of QQ Pain Management Health Center kicked off Oct. 30, according to the San Mateo Police Department.

Officers confirmed “ongoing acts of prostitution” at the establishment, police said.

On Wednesday, officers served a search warrant at the parlor, located at 21 37th Ave., and took two people into custody. A 42-year-old San Rafael resident was arrested on suspicion of pimping, pandering and engaging in prostitution, and a 43-year-old San Mateo resident was arrested on suspicion of engaging in prostitution.

Police encouraged members of the public to report any businesses or locations they believe may be involved in illegal prostitution or human-trafficking operations.

“Community awareness and cooperation play a vital role in helping law enforcement identify and investigate these crimes,” police said.
