A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a train in Schaumburg Tuesday afternoon, according to Metra officials.
The woman, who survived, was taken to Alexian Brothers Hospital after being hit at the Schaumburg Metra station by an outbound Milwaukee District North train, according to Metra.
The woman’s condition wasn’t known. Schaumburg’s police and fire departments didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Trains were returned to service at about 4:30 p.m., the Metra said.
