The Tartan Army is having a right old knees up in Boston – so much so that the city is almost completely dry.

But pubs are now running out of beer after a surge in demand.

Noelle Somers, chief operating officer of Hennessy’s Bar in central Boston, said trade had tripled that of St Patrick’s Day.
It had run out of beer on Sunday night and was restocked on Monday. Another deliver is due on Thursday ahead of the match with Morocco on Friday.
She told the Boston Globe: ‘We’ve been here for over 30 years and we’ve never seen anything like it.’
Taproom Sam Adams, which was also running dry, said demand for its Boston lager was four times higher than during the holiday season.
Scotland’s dedicated bar The Haven ordered in more than 100 kegs of Tennents.
Boston natives have taken in the Scots with open arms.One Reddit user joked: ‘I for one welcome our new kilted overlords’.
Supporters group the Providence Tartan Army raised nearly $30,000 in donations for the city, with $10,000 being donated to the Hasbro Children’s hospital cancer unit.
