As the Sky search for hidden gems that can develop into contributors, they’re adding undrafted shooting guards Sammie Puisis and Tilly Boler on training camp contracts. Both are strong long-range shooters.
Puisis, 24, finished her collegiate career at South Florida after transferring from Florida State. She is 6-foot-1 and played 150 games in college. Last season, for USF, she averaged 15.2 points and shot a career-high 39.8% from three-point range.
Boler played at Memphis last season after four at Jackson State. At 6-foot-1, she averaged a career-best 16.6 points for Memphis last season while shooting 37% from three-point range.
The Sky picked up forward Ajsa Sivka and guard Hailey Van Lith with the Nos. 10 and 11 selections, respectively, in the draft Monday. They also chose Notre Dame forward Maddy Westbeld in the second round and Texas A&M guard Aicha Coulibaly in the third.
The team has not announced a start date for training camp, but it is expected to begin late this month.
